As I entered the room, the sight before me immediately caught my attention. There, sprawled out on the floor, was my friend John, his body motionless and his face etched with an expression of complete exhaustion. It was a striking and somewhat concerning image, one that prompted me to pause and take a closer look.
John's lanky frame was splayed across the hardwood planks, his limbs akimbo and his head resting on the cool surface. One arm was flung out to the side, his fingers curled limply, while the other was tucked beneath his torso, as if he had simply collapsed where he stood and crumpled to the ground. His legs were stretched out in front of him, one bent at the knee and the other straight, the soles of his shoes scuffed and worn.
As I drew closer, I noticed the slight rise and fall of his chest, indicating that he was still breathing, though the breaths seemed shallow and labored. His eyes were closed, and his brow was furrowed, as if he were deep in thought or grappling with some internal struggle. A stray lock of hair had fallen across his forehead, adding to the sense of disarray and vulnerability that permeated the scene.

John considered my words, and slowly, the tension in his body seemed to dissipate. He shifted, his limbs finding a more comfortable position on the floor, and he let out a long, weary sigh.
"You're right," he murmured. "I...I think I needed to hear that."
I nodded, offering him a reassuring smile. "That's what friends are for. Now, why don't you take a few more minutes to just... be. And then we can figure out what you need to do to get back on your feet, both literally and figuratively."
John's lips quirked upward in a small, grateful smile. "Sounds like a plan," he said, his voice a little stronger now. And as he settled back onto the floor, I knew that in that moment, he was exactly where he needed to be – taking a much-needed break, and allowing himself the chance to recharge and find the strength to face the challenges ahead.
